During this experiment I have observed that weather changes every day at any given time. It could be 45 degrees and then all of the sudden go into the 30s. The warmest day in Eaton Rapids would be he seventh of April because it was 68 degrees while the coldest day was March tweny seventh sense it was only between 18 and 35 degrees. I saw corolation between the temperature and wind direction because it was always colder when the wind picked up or changed direction. I also saw corolation between the temperature and precipitation because the weather would always become more humid and sticky. For the past three weeks I have noticed that the average high is 53 degrees and the low is 45 degrees.

Experiment 5
Today was our fith experiment and we had to figure out wind and water currents.
The kind of suff we worked on related to my flooding experiment because when
you have so much water it creates currents that can change and could be bad news
for many people.

Experiment 4
Today we have done our fourth experiment in class and it had involved seeing how our earth heated at a certain rate. For the group I was in we had to see how the dirt heated and how it heated so fast. The dirt heated at a fast rate and we learned that it doesnt take long for it to cool either. During floods dirt can help because it takes the water and soaks it up but it can't soak very much to help a lot. Another part of the experiment was to see what heated the fastest which was the water because it evaporates.

Experiment 3
For our third experiment we had to explain why mother nature played a trick on us. La Niña is a coupled ocean-atmosphere phenomenon. The name La Niña originates from Spanish, meaning "the little girl". La Nina played a trick on us today because the weather was suppose to be warm but ended up being very chilly.
Jet streams are fast flowing, relatively narrow air currents found in the atmosphere around 10 kilometers above the surface of the Earth. La Nina was 0.5 degrees celcius and causing the weather to change on us.

Project 2
Today we read a booklet about atmospheric moisture advection and precipitation. As i read i noticed that it relates to my blog im doing about flooding. The reasom I think this is because the water from the flooding is evaporated before everything the air is so moist its hard to breathe sometimes.

project 1
Today we started a project that dealt with water, snow, and dirt. The main reason for this project was to see what heated the fastest and what cooled the fastest. By this activity I have learned that things absorb heat but they usually cool at a faster pace. This activity relates to my project because flood water usually takes months to go down and it doesnt help when the earth cant soak up the water left over. The water will eventually be evaporated from the heat just like when the snow melted in the experiment. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flooding
