Experiment 3

For our third experiment we had to explain why mother nature played a trick on us. La Niña is a coupled ocean-atmosphere phenomenon. The name La Niña originates from Spanish, meaning "the little girl". La Nina played a trick on us today because the weather was suppose to be warm but ended up being very chilly.

Jet streams
are fast flowing, relatively narrow air currents found in the atmosphere around 10 kilometers above the surface of the Earth. La Nina was 0.5 degrees celcius and causing the weather to change on us.
